In this three-part series, we will examine the main wire systems used in the U.S.; Fedwire, CHIPS, and SWIFT. Expert staff will help you gain an understanding of how wire payments are processed, settled, the participants involved, as well as the rules and regulations governing wires. This is a basic to intermediate session intended for individuals new to wire operations, front line staff and individuals wanting to learn more about wire transfers.
MEET THE PRESENTER
Brian Stearns joined WesPay in 2014 as Assistant Vice President of Risk and Regulatory Compliance, responsible for conducting ACH and RDC audit and risk assessments and providing risk and compliance education to WesPay’s members. Before joining WesPay, Brian spent almost ten years managing the operational, compliance, and risk of payment systems including ACH, checks, and wire transfers for Credit Unions, including six years at Farmers Insurance Group FCU, and served as Vice-Chair of WesPay’s Rules Advisory Council. Brian holds both the AAP and NCP accreditations and is a Certified Internal Auditor.
